I would like to welcome all of you to first grade. It is my goal to get your students to strive for their personal best, learn to be responsible for their work, and keep them interested in learning. I strongly believe that all children can and are eager to learn, and I will do my very best to create an atmosphere conducive to your child's needs.
I was born and raised in upstate New York in a small town near Utica, called Ilion. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at State University of New York in Oneonta, and my Master's Degree in Math at the State University of New York in Cortland. I currently hold my National Board Certification in Early Childhood.
Prior to coming to Charlotte, I taught 2nd through 5th grades for six years in New York. This 2017-2018 school year will be my 29th year of teaching, twenty two of those years have been here in Charlotte, and I have taught at McKee Road Elementary since August of 2000.
